Membership

  • All are invited to visit and use the reading room. By becoming a member you can borrow books and read them at home.
  • Membership is currently for residents and registered tenants at Magarpatta City, and employees of Magarpatta City administration.
  • To become a member, please give us as many books as you can.
  • Membership is non-transferable. Each family member must get their own membership. All members below 18 must register a parent or guardian as a member.
  • All memberships are valid for one year.
  • You may borrow up to two books at any time.
  • Books are issued for eight days. You may further renew a book for another eight days before the book is due (via library system/requesting library staff to renew the same for you)
  • At the end of this time or earlier, you must return the book to the library. If another member has not reserved the particular book, you may then borrow the book again, if you wish.
  • You are responsible for returning borrowed books on time.
  • You are responsible for taking good care of the books. If you find that a book is not in good condition, please refer it to us, before you borrow it.
  • If you lose a book, the library will request you to replace the book or give at least two other books of the library’s choice.
  • While we do not charge any fees, fines, or deposits, the library system tracks all issued books, late items, damaged or lost books, etc. and we may counsel members that do not respect these simple regulations.
  • You may optionally use the library system (to be available over the Internet in a short while from now). If you do use it, you are responsible for keeping the login information secure and confidential, and follow all usage guidelines published for the use of the system.
